Broken Borders
The spirit of everybody is changed, of a whole people is changed, but mostly nobody knows it and a war forces them to recognize it, because during a war the appearance of everything changes very much quicker.Gertrude SteinThe research project stemmed from an inner consideration about the lack of freedom that characterizes human life. Such freedom has been bordered by political, social and economic boundaries. These barriers have been created by men and have come to condition daily life in a negative way, in whole or in part. Hence the personal need arises to head out on an introspective journey looking for the intrinsic values of the individual, who is free from the superstructures and limitations that people have raised around within society, to the extent of caging their own nature and, at times, of darkening even the life sparkle itself, thus driving to absurd degenerations. This work privileges essential elements to life and to the evolution of the human race. Photography is used as a powerful and contemporary means which is foundation to social technology. It fans out in 37 shots divided in 7 themes: EARTH, HUMANS, FOOD, WATER, ENERGY, TRANSPORTATION, TIME.
